Appspace alternative. Just $6/month.
If you only need digital signage — not desk booking, visitor management, and an Employee App — Appspace is overbuilt and overpriced. Brix is $6/screen flat, no 25-user minimum, no Employee Experience Platform tax.

Appspace bundles the workplace platform you don't need. Brix is just signage, done well.
$6/screen vs the 25-user minimum
Appspace's Express tier requires a 25-user minimum, 25 devices, and 25 GB storage — a floor that doesn't make sense for an operator running 5 screens in a single location. Brix is one-screen-and-up, $6/screen, no user minimums.
You're paying for desk booking you don't use
Appspace bundles room booking, visitor management, intranet, and an Employee App with their signage. If you just need screens that show menus or promotions, you're cross-subsidising a workplace platform sold to Fortune 500 corporate-comms teams.
Public pricing, real numbers
Appspace's Express and Enterprise tiers are 'contact sales.' Brix is $6/screen, posted, the same for every customer. No procurement gate, no per-account quote, no negotiating room because there's nothing to negotiate.
No pricing pages. No problem.
Appspace routes everyone through "contact sales." That's a tell — they're sizing the quote based on who you are, not the value of the product.

Talk to a real humanWhat Appspace gets right. And where the math breaks.
What Appspace gets right
Appspace is genuinely impressive software for what it actually is — an Employee Experience Platform that happens to include digital signage as one channel. The Microsoft Teams / Webex / Slack integrations are deep and real. Room booking, visitor management, and the Employee App tie together cleanly into a unified corporate-comms surface that signage-only platforms can't match.
For a Fortune 1000 company with a centralised IT team rolling out distributed-office workplace tech across 50+ buildings, Appspace earns its price. The integrated platform replaces three or four separate vendors.
Where the pricing math breaks
Appspace publishes a Free tier (2 users, 1 device, 5 GB) and gates everything real behind Express ($25-user/device minimum) and Enterprise (50+ users), neither with public pricing. Industry reports place Express around $2-$4/user/month and Enterprise meaningfully higher — bundled with a per-device floor.
A modest deployment — 25 employees, 5 signage screens — runs ~$1,800-$3,600/year on Express minimum, before storage overage ($0.10/GB/month) and bandwidth ($0.15/GB/month). Brix for 5 signage screens is $360/year. Even ignoring the user-licence portion of Appspace's pricing, the per-screen cost gap is real.
The pricing only makes sense if you genuinely use the user-licensed features (Employee App, Teams integration, room booking). For pure signage, you're paying for a platform you'll touch 10% of.
When Appspace is the right choice
Appspace is the right call when you're a Fortune 1000 IT director rolling out a distributed-office workplace platform — visitor management, room booking, Microsoft Teams integration, an Employee App, AND signage — and you want all of it under one vendor with a single SSO. The platform consolidation is genuinely valuable at that scale.
For SMBs, single-location operators, gyms, restaurants, retail, healthcare clinics, and any business that doesn't have a corporate-comms team — Brix is signage-only, priced for that buyer, and doesn't ask you to absorb the Employee Experience Platform overhead.
Real questions. Real answers.
We're a 10-employee company. Does Appspace even sell to us?
Their Express tier requires a 25-user minimum. Below that you're on the Free tier (1 device, 5 GB) which is gimped to the point of unusable. Brix has no minimums — one screen, $6/month.
We use Microsoft Teams. Will we lose that integration?
Yes if you're displaying live Teams channels on screens. If you only need Teams notifications or chat embedded in signage, Brix supports it via web URL embed. The deep Teams integration is genuinely an Appspace strength for buyers who use it.
Do we need an Employee App on signage?
Almost never — and that's the point. Appspace prices for buyers who do. If you're just showing menus, promotions, internal comms, or wayfinding on screens, the Employee App is dead weight.
Can Brix replace Appspace's room booking?
No — Brix is signage, not workplace management. If room booking is part of your spec, you'd want a dedicated room-booking tool plus Brix for the screens. Often cheaper than Appspace bundled and easier to swap parts later.
Free migration?
Yes — send us your Appspace channels and screen list, we rebuild your schedules for free. Most migrations live the same day.
