Yes, Amazon provides Signage Sticks free, but only for rollouts of 30 or more screens. You do not apply to Amazon yourself: talk to our team with your screen count and Brix arranges the Sticks with Amazon.
Below 30 screens you buy the Stick from Amazon. No Brix plan includes a Stick.
Which Stick you get
The Amazon Signage Stick, not the consumer Fire TV Stick. Owners call both "the Fire Stick", but the Signage Stick is built for business screens and costs $99.99 on Amazon.com. The consumer Fire TV Stick is a home streaming device, though Brix also runs on it. See the Amazon Signage Stick review.
What you still pay
The Stick plays content. You still need signage software to make it, schedule it and control every screen.
- $6 per screen per month, billed annually ($72 per screen per year).
- $8 per screen per month, billed monthly.
For a 30-screen rollout that is $2,160 per year billed annually, or $240 per month billed monthly. See pricing. TVs, mounts and HDMI cables are yours. For every cost line, see how much digital signage costs.
How to get free Sticks
- Count your screens. List each location and how many screens it has. The offer is for 30 or more.
- Book a call with Brix. Tell us the screen count and where the screens are.
- Brix arranges the Sticks with Amazon.
When the Sticks arrive
Each Stick takes about 10 minutes to set up. Plug it into the TV and power, connect Wi-Fi, and pick Brix Signage during the Stick's own on-screen setup. Then pair it in the CMS: Screens > Add screen > Pair a hardware device.
The Signage Stick setup guide has every step and the pair-code screens. Once paired, select many screens on the Screens list to act on them together.
A new screen follows "Standard hours" by default, 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Outside those hours the Stick turns the TV off over HDMI-CEC. For a screen that must run all night, set it to "Always on".
With fewer than 30 screens
- Use a device you already own. Brix runs on Fire TV and on Android boxes such as the Walmart Onn. See Signage Stick vs Walmart Onn. On the Onn, grant "Display over other apps" by hand.
- Ask about bulk sourcing. Brix helps businesses source Signage Sticks in bulk. Ask on a call.
Free Stick offers tied to one plan
Amazon's CMS directory marks some signage vendors with an "Amazon Signage Stick bundle" label: they sell or include the Stick with their own plans. A bundle can be good value, but read that vendor's page for the terms: the plan length, the yearly software cost and what happens to the Stick if you cancel.
The Stick itself is not locked to one vendor. Amazon lists more than 80 signage platforms that run on it, Brix among them. If you change platform later, you keep the hardware.
Other ways to pay less for a Stick
- Quantity prices. Amazon's US listing shows $94.99 per Stick at 10 units and $92.99 at 50.
- Promo codes on the Amazon listing, for example seasonal percentage-off codes.
- 100 or more Sticks, or outside the US: contact us about a better price.
See Amazon Signage Stick price for the current numbers.
