White label digital signage is a vendor's signage platform sold under a reseller's own name. The vendor's brand is gone from every screen, login and email the customer sees.
The reseller signs up once, creates a workspace for each of its customers and sets its own price. The vendor still runs the servers and the player software, and backs up the reseller's support.
Reseller vs white label: what is the real difference?
| Reseller | White label partner | |
|---|---|---|
| Name on the login, screens and email | The vendor's | The reseller's |
| Who sets the price | The vendor, the reseller earns a margin | The reseller |
| Who bills the customer | Often the vendor | The reseller |
| Who owns support | Shared | The reseller |
| Setup work | None | A logo, a product name, often a domain |
A reseller deal is faster to start. A white label deal takes more setup, but the customer knows the product as the integrator's, not as a name it could buy direct next year.
What to check before you sign a white label contract
Also see the general questions to ask a digital signage vendor.
- How deep the branding goes. A logo on the login page is the minimum. Ask about the player app on the hardware, the sender of password-reset email, and the web address customers sign in to.
- Who bills the end customer. If the vendor's name or checkout appears anywhere in your customer's billing, it is a reseller deal with a logo on top.
- How you pay. A flat fee, a per-screen rate, or a pool of licences for a term. Each changes what happens when a customer adds or drops screens mid-term.
- What happens to installed screens if the contract ends. Get it in writing before the first screen goes on a wall.
- Whether you can pilot before you pay. Free demo screens or a short pool of real licences let you put a working screen on a prospect's wall.
What actually changes on the hardware, not just the web page
| Surface | What a real white label programme rebrands | What usually still shows the vendor |
|---|---|---|
| Web console | Logo, product name, colours, often the web address | Nothing the customer sees |
| System email (password resets, alerts) | Sender name, sometimes the sending address | The mail server's technical headers |
| Player app on the hardware | App name, icon, installer file name | All of these, if the vendor has no separate build |
| Pairing screen before a device is claimed | Logo and wording | The vendor's name, if there is no separate build |
| Network traffic from the device | Almost nothing | The vendor's server addresses |
Buyers skip the last row. Unless the vendor runs a separate domain per partner, the customer's IT team sees the vendor's server address in its firewall logs. If a vendor claims no trace of itself anywhere, ask to see the device's network traffic, not only the login page.
Where Brix fits
Brix runs a white label programme for AV resellers and systems integrators. Details are on the partner programme page.
- Branding: your product name and logo across the CMS your customers sign in to. You can point your own domain at it. Until then, the console runs on a neutral address that does not name Brix.
- Billing: you buy a pool of screen licences for a term, at a wholesale rate set with our team. You resell them at your own price and bill your customers yourself. They never see a Brix price or enter a card with us.
- Before you buy: five free demo screens in your own workspace, permanently watermarked, for pitching. Plus five unwatermarked licences for 30 days, to put a real screen on a client's wall. No card needed for either.
- Players: separate builds for Windows and for Android and Fire TV devices, with a neutral app name, icon, pairing card and offline message.
- The limit: the device still talks to
api.brixsignage.comandplayer.brixsignage.com, which anyone reading its network traffic can see. Your reseller agreement should say so.

FAQ
How much does white label digital signage cost?
It depends on the vendor. Most charge the reseller a wholesale rate per screen, or a licence pool for a term, and let the reseller set its own price. For Brix, talk to us with the number of screens you plan to sell.
