Billing, invoices and your plan
Read your plan and screen licences, add a card, send invoices to finance, and pause, cancel or close the account.
Settings > Billing holds your plan, your payment method, your invoices and the controls that pause, cancel or close the account. Use this guide to read what you pay for, to keep payment working, and to send invoices to finance. Every task below starts on the same page.
What you can do
- Read your plan — See the rate per screen, the licensed screen count and the total for your cadence.
- Switch to yearly billing — Move from monthly to yearly and pay once for the year.
- Keep payment working — Add a card or a bank account, and mark a second source as the backup.
- Handle invoices — Read an invoice, save the PDF, or copy a pay-link for your finance team.
- Pause for a closed season — Stop the billing and pick the date the subscription restarts.
- Cancel the subscription — End the plan at the end of the billing period.
- Delete the workspace — Schedule the workspace and all of its data for permanent removal.
Check your plan, screen licences and next renewal
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Read the plan card for the rate per screen each month.
- Read the license count and the total for your cadence on the same card.
- Read the line that names how many screens are in use and how many are spare.
- Read Next renewal for the date of the next charge.
- Read the pill in the corner of the card for the real state of the plan.

️ The plan card prices the screen licences you bought, not the screens that run today. The in use count can be lower than the count you pay for. To see the screens themselves, read manage your screens.
️ When more screens run than you bought, the same line names how many are over your plan.
️ The state pill reads Current, Trial, Paused until a date, Ends a date, Payment overdue, Suspended or Cancelled.
️ A workspace with no subscription yet shows a free-trial note with the trial end date, and no plan cards.
Switch from monthly to yearly billing
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Select Switch to Yearly in the savings strip below the plan cards.
- Wait for the dialog to price the switch with the billing provider.
- Read the line items, the prorated credit and the Charged today total.
- Read the line that names the card Brix charges.
- Select the Pay … & switch button to confirm the charge.
- To back out, select Not now.
️ The Yearly plan card opens the same dialog. Yearly billing is a real charge, so the card never changes the view on its own.
️ After the account moves to Yearly, Brix removes the Monthly card and the way back. To return to monthly billing, contact support.
️ If the billing provider cannot price the switch, the dialog says so. Your invoice then names the exact amount.
Add or update the card or bank account
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Find the Payment method section.
- Select Add card or bank account, or Update payment method when a source exists.
- Complete the hosted page of the billing provider.
- Return to Settings > Billing.
- Check that the list names the source and its status.
️ The buttons leave Brix for the hosted page of the billing provider. The provider returns you to Settings > Billing when you finish.
️ If billing is not set up for the workspace, the section shows a line that points at support instead of the buttons.
️ Invoice billing is an arrangement with the Brix team. The Payment method section does not offer invoice billing.
Add a backup payment method
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Find the Payment method section.
- Select Add second card.
- Add the second source on the page of the billing provider.
- Select Make backup on the row of the second source.
- Check that the row now shows the Backup pill.
️ If a charge to the primary source fails, Brix tries the backup source. A second source keeps your screens running through an expired card.
️ Make backup appears only on a source that is neither the primary nor the backup. The primary row and the backup row show a pill instead.
Read or save an invoice
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Scroll to Invoices.
- Select the eye icon on the invoice row to read the invoice in a new browser tab.
- Select the download icon to save the PDF.
️ Brix renames the statuses of the billing provider. A row reads Paid, Issued, Due, Unpaid, Voided or Pending.
Send one invoice to your finance team
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Scroll to Invoices.
- Find the unpaid invoice.
- Select Send to finance to copy a pay-link.
- Paste the pay-link into your message to finance.
️ Finance can pay a pay-link by card or by bank debit (ACH).
️ Send to finance appears only while an invoice still owes money. A paid invoice shows the eye icon and the download icon alone.
Settle more than one outstanding invoice in one payment
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Scroll to Invoices.
- Select Copy pay-once link in the amber bar above the list.
- Paste the copied text into your message to finance.
- For one link per invoice, select Individual links instead.
️ The amber bar appears only when the account owes two or more invoices. The bar names the number of invoices and the total due.
️ The copied text names the total and the number of days the link stays valid.
Pause the subscription for a seasonal closure
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Scroll to Pause or cancel.
- Select Pause subscription.
- Pick the date you want the service to restart under Restart on.
- To leave a note for the Brix team, type it in the optional box.
- Select Pause subscription to confirm.
️ Brix stops the billing on the day you pause. Your screens, media and schedules stay as they are.
️ The restart date can be up to 12 months away. Brix brings the account back on that date with no action from you.
️ To come back sooner, return to Settings > Billing and reactivate the account.
Cancel the subscription
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Scroll to Pause or cancel.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Choose a Reason for leaving.
- Choose the other solution you will use.
- Pick how likely you are to return, from 1 to 10.
- Type a comment in the comment box.
- Tick the box confirming that you lose access and data at the end of the billing period.
- Select Cancel my account.

️ Brix needs 30 days notice for a cancellation. Your screens keep playing until the end of the billing period.
️ Cancel my account stays disabled until the reason, the other solution, the return likelihood, the comment and the checkbox are all complete.
️ Seasonal Business in the reason list pauses the account. The dialog asks for a Reactivate on date and cancels nothing.
️ Pause or cancel shows only while the account is active. A paused, ending or trial-expired account sees a reactivate card instead.
Bring a paused or lapsed account back
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Read the banner at the top of the page for the state of the account.
- Select Reactivate now in the banner, or Reactivate in the Subscription section.
- On a lapsed trial, select Restart subscription in the banner instead.
️ A past-due or suspended account gets no reactivate button. Pay the outstanding invoice, and your screens switch back on.
Delete this workspace
- Download every media file you want to keep. Read upload and organize media.
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Select Delete account.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field.
- Type your password under Confirm your password.
- If your account uses two-factor sign-in, type a current 2FA code.
- Select Delete account to confirm.
️ Brix cannot recover or transfer your content after the deletion. Download every file you want to keep before you start.
️ The CMS cannot undo the deletion. To recover the workspace, contact support.
️ Brix disables the Delete account button once a deletion is already scheduled.
️ Your 2FA code comes from your authenticator app. Read secure your account and set up single sign-on.
Stop a scheduled deletion
- Open Settings > Billing.
- Read the banner saying the account is scheduled for permanent deletion.
- Select Stop deletion in the banner.
- Check for the message saying the workspace is no longer scheduled for deletion.
️ Stop the deletion as soon as you see the banner. If you did not ask for the deletion, tell the other members of your workspace.
