Setting up an Amazon Signage Display with Brix takes about 10 minutes:

  1. Mount it. Put the screen on its stand, or on a VESA 300 x 300 wall mount (sold separately), in landscape.
  2. Connect it. Plug it into power. Plug an Ethernet cable into the back if you have one; otherwise you will use Wi-Fi.
  3. Install the Amazon Signage app on your phone and sign in with an Amazon account.
  4. Add the Display in the app and connect it to your network.
  5. Pick "Brix Signage" as the CMS. The Display installs Brix and opens it. The screen shows a pairing code.
  6. Pair it in Brix. Open the Brix CMS, go to Screens, Add screen, Pair a hardware device, and enter the code.
  7. Assign content. Pick a playlist, a design or a menu board for the screen. It starts playing within seconds.

No phone? Use the remote and console.signage.amazon.com on a computer for steps 3 to 5.

Before you start

  • An Amazon account. The Display registers to it. For a business, use a shared business account, not someone's personal one.
  • A network. Wi-Fi 6 or Ethernet. Ethernet is more reliable behind a large screen or in a kitchen.
  • A Brix account. Start a free trial first so the pairing step is ready.
  • Opening hours. Know them for step 8 below.

After pairing

  1. Check the screen hours. A new Brix screen runs "Standard hours", 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Change them to your opening hours under the screen's settings. Keep at least six hours off a day: the Display is rated for 18/7. See screen settings and display power.
  2. Name the screen and its location. "Main St – counter" beats "Screen 3" when you have twenty.
  3. Look at it from the office. The screen's panel in Brix shows what the screen shows now.

Setting up several Displays

Save the network and CMS choice as a profile in the Amazon Signage app, so each next Display skips those steps. In Brix, group the screens by location and assign content to the group, so one change reaches every screen. See manage multiple Amazon Signage devices.

If something goes wrong

  • The app does not find the Display. Keep the phone near the screen with Bluetooth on, and make sure the Display is on and showing its setup screen.
  • No Brix Signage in the list. Search the CMS list for "Brix". Make sure the Display is online.
  • The pairing code is not accepted. Codes expire. Restart the Brix app on the Display to get a new one.
  • The screen is off in the morning. It is outside its Brix screen hours. Check them.

Amazon support for the device itself: the Amazon Signage Assistant in the app, or [email protected], Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific. For anything in Brix, our support is US-based and answers 7 days a week.
