AI Digital Signage Management for Enterprise

How AI assistants manage an enterprise digital signage network: weekly health checks, fixes, reports and new stores, each done with one prompt.

AI digital signage management means an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT does the routine work of a large screen network for you. To run an enterprise network by prompt, connect an AI assistant to your Brix workspace and ask it for the weekly jobs: find the screens that are down, fix what you can from the office, pull reports and add the next stores. The assistant uses the same tools and permissions as the CMS, so one sentence replaces a page of clicks.

Each section below is one job with the prompt that does it.

Monday: which screens are down, and why

Which screens have been offline for more than an hour? Group them by region. For each one, tell me the likely cause and what the store should check.

The assistant lists the open alerts and each screen's outage history, and runs the troubleshooting check on each screen. The check works by elimination. It can tell a player that lost its network from one that is running fine behind a TV on the wrong input.

When the player is healthy, the result is a checklist for the store: TV power, input and cable. A player cannot see the TV's input, so the result says it is a guided guess. See Troubleshoot a screen.

Fix it from the office

Take a screenshot of each screen at store 2210 and show me what is on the TV. If a screen shows a blank picture, restart its player.

The assistant asks each screen for a fresh screenshot and reads it. A restart interrupts what is on screen, so most assistants ask you before they send one.

Wednesday: a message on the right screens

Put a notice on every screen in the break rooms in the west region for the rest of today: "Team meeting at 3:00 pm in the training room."

The assistant makes the notice as a branded slide and casts it to the screens you named, for up to 24 hours. Each screen then goes back to its normal content by itself.

For a real emergency, set up your emergency templates in advance under Settings > Emergency templates. The assistant can then start one on every screen in scope, after it confirms the scope with you.

Brix also connects to CAP and webhook alert systems such as Singlewire, Rave and Alertus; our team configures the connection with you (talk to us). See Alerts and emergency takeovers.

Friday: reports people ask for

For last month, give me uptime per region and the ten worst screens. Then give me the proof of play for the supplier video, per store, as a table I can paste into an email.

Proof of play is off by default. Turn it on at Settings > Organization > Feature defaults before the month you want to report on. See Prove what played and see who changed what.

Add the next stores

Here are the 12 stores that open this month, with store numbers and regions. Create their locations. When their screens are paired, tag them the same way as store 1180 and give them the same content and hours.

The assistant builds the locations in one call and copies the setup from a store you already trust. Someone still installs and pairs each player. A Signage Stick takes about 10 minutes per screen.

Set up the structure first

An assistant targets screens the way you describe them, so describe them in the workspace:

  • Locations for regions and stores, with store numbers as Location IDs.
  • Tags for what you target that is not a place: drive-thru, break-room, portrait, 24h.
  • Screen groups for sets you use often, such as "all lobby screens".
  • Roles by location, so a store manager sees only their store. See Digital signage user permissions by location.

Then "every drive-thru screen in the east region" means one exact list.

Keep control

The connection or API key sets the limits: which permissions and which locations. Give each assistant its own key, start it view-only, and read its changes in the audit log. The full setup is in Let an AI assistant change your screens safely.

To connect an assistant, search for Brix in Claude's connectors (Customize > Connectors) or add it by URL, add it as a plugin in ChatGPT, and sign in, or give Claude Code or Cursor an API key. Every signed-in connection is listed under Connected apps, and revoking it stops it at once. Setup for each client is on the MCP setup page.

The API and the MCP server are included in the one Brix plan, at $6 per screen per month billed annually or $8 billed monthly. For a network of hundreds of screens, book a demo and we will set up the structure and the keys with you.
