Create your account
Brix gives every new account a seven-day free trial. Brix does not ask for a card.
- Open the sign-up page.
- Type your first name and last name.
- Type your work email.
- Type a password of at least 12 characters.
- Select Start free trial.
Brix signs you in and opens the welcome wizard.

For two-factor codes, passkeys and single sign-on, read Sign in and set your preferences.
Set up your workspace
The welcome wizard asks three questions. The answers name your workspace, set how much of Brix you see, and choose the starter designs Brix adds.
- Type your organization name into Organization name.
- Select the tile that matches your kind of place, for example Education or Cafe.
- If your kind of place is not in the grid, select Show all 34 industries.
- Read the preview of the four designs Brix adds to your workspace.
- Select Continue.
- Select the number of screens you expect: 1–3, 4–10, 11–50, 51–200 or 200+.
- Read the line under the buttons, which names the level your answer sets.
- Select Set up my workspace.

The last step lists the starter designs Brix added. Select Pair a screen, Post a message or See your designs to start work.
Finish setting up
Until your first screen plays something, the Dashboard shows a Finish setting up panel above the tiles.
- Select Dashboard in the sidebar under Overview.
- Read the "of 3 done" count in the panel header.
- Select Pair a screen to connect a screen or a browser tab.
- Select Add content to upload an image or a video.
- Select Assign content to put a design, playlist or media file on a screen.
To hide the panel, select the Dismiss setup checklist button in the panel header.
Two guides cover the first two steps in full: Connect a screen and Put content on a screen.
Read the Dashboard
The Dashboard answers three questions: what plays, what is wrong, and what waits for you. Every tile opens the page that owns the number.
- Select Dashboard in the sidebar under Overview.
- Read the Screens online tile, which counts online screens out of your total.
- Read the line under that number, which names the most severe problem.
- Read the Open alerts tile, and the line that counts critical alerts.
- Read the Awaiting approval tile.
- Select any tile to open the page behind the number.
- Read the "Content performance (7d)" card for the plays of the last seven days.
- Select View proof to open the full proof of play report.
- Read the "Recent activity" card for the six most recent changes.

Move around the CMS
The sidebar holds every destination in three groups, and a colored line marks the page you are on.
- Select a destination under Overview: Dashboard or Screens.
- Select a destination under Content: Media, Links, Apps, Playlists, Schedules, Layouts or Templates.
- Select a destination under Account: Approvals or Settings.
- To give the page more room, select Collapse sidebar beside the workspace name.
- Select Expand sidebar to bring the labels back.

Jump to a page with the command palette
- Press Command-K, or Control-K on Windows.
- Type the start of a page name, for example "s" for Screens.
- Press the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight.
- Press Enter to open the row, or press Escape to close the palette.
Set how much of Brix you see

- Select the level button at the bottom of the sidebar, for example Simple (≤10).
- Select Simple (≤10) for the smallest set of pages and plain language.
- Or select Team (11–50) to turn on approvals, sync and advanced status.
- Or select Enterprise (50+) for the full district or franchise toolkit.
Switch workspace, or sign out
- Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Under Switch account, select the workspace you want.
- Select Add another account to sign in to a second account.
- Select Account settings to open your own settings.
- Select Help & support to open the guides in a new tab.
- Select Sign out to leave the account you are in.
Keep your screens playing after the trial
- Read the banner above the page, for example "4 days left in your free trial".
- Select Upgrade to open the Billing page in Settings.
- Add a payment method.
- Return to any page and check that the banner is gone.
